Guwahati News Desk: Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Gauhati Medical College & Hospital to inquire about the health of Dr Seuj Kumar Senapati who was brutally assaulted by family members of a deceased patients in Hojai district on Tuesday.
CM Sarma says Dr Senapati would be allowed to serve in a health institute of his choice at the time he resumes services.
The government of Assam stands with the doctors and medical officials who are leading in the pandemic with remarkable dedication.
Assam Police has already arrested the accused who has brutally assaulted Dr Senapati, nurses and destroyed hospital furniture as a case has been already registered.
CM Sarma also added that there will be zero-tolerance against any assault on our doctors and health care workers.
