Guwahati News Desk: Assam Environment and Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya visited Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden in Guwahati on Friday.
Minister Suklabaidya visited enquiry about the health conditions of zookeepers and animals in the zoo.
Minister also thanked the State zoo officials for taking care of the animals during the pandemic time.
11 zookeepers have been affected with COVID-19 positive out of which one is presently COVID positive and is in isolation.
The Assam State Zoo was closed on April 28 this year due to rising cases of COVID-19 in the State.
