Guwahati News Desk: At least three people were arrested on Wednesday night by Sivasagar Police for extorting money from a wine shop owner.
They were blackmailing the shop owner, Raju Khanikar for an amount of Rs 14,600.
Police officials seized two microphones bearing the insignia of two web-based media house Reporter Asom and Zion News along with three mobile phones were also recovered.
A case has been registered under Gaurisagar Police Station against accused Apurba Sharma, Secretary of All Assam Unemployment Protest Association; Rintu Sensuwa, reporter of Reporter Live Ahom and Chandan Gogoi, reporter of ZION news.
