Guwahati News Desk: The Assam State Zoo cum Botanical Garden of Guwahati City reopened for visitors on Saturday.
The zoo and botanical garden were closed down for few months due to the second wave of COVID-19 in the State as the opening ceremony was attended by the Forest Minister of Assam Parimal Suklabaidya.
The State zoo was reopened with a celebration of 67th Wildlife Week which was celebrated all across the nation in October from 1st to 7th October.
During the inauguration programme of the reopening of State zoo a procession was organised as staff of zoo, children and forest officials participated with play cards written ‘Save Wildlife Save Forest’, ‘Save Elephants, “Save Wildlife’ etc.
