Guwahati News Desk: Cyclothon 2.0: India on the Move’ was organised by Event Management Association of Assam (EMAA) on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at GS Road in Guwahati City on Saturday.
Over 100 cyclists joined the event as it was organised to aim to inculcate a cycling culture among the people and to encourage people taking actively part in the outdoor activities.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Advocate General of Assam Debojit Saikia at 6:30 am started from Sohum Emporia and ended in the same place in a 12 km round trip from Fram Gate near Vivanta by Taj.
Earlier, the Cyclothon was started in the year 2020 by Event and Entertainment Association (EEMA) of India as it was a multiciy event which was organised in Hyderabad, Chennai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Goa including Guwahati City.
In the Cyclothon 2.0 event Sohum Emporia, Indian Red Cross Society, Makhan Bhog and Rotary Club of Guwahati Luit are also associated with the event.
