Guwahati News Desk: At least nine PWD labourers were injured late Friday night after a drunk female driver mowed them down with her speeding vehicle in Guwahati.
The exact spot of the accident is Rukminigaon, where the intoxicated girl smashed the labourers with a car.
As per the sources, the Dispur police arrived at the incident spot at around 2 a.m., after which the girl allegedly got into an argument with the police on duty as well.
Regarding, the injured labourers, they were immediately admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The injured labourers are still undergoing treatment at GMCH.
As per the reports, two among the injured have been reported to be in critical condition.
However, the identity of the workers has not been ascertained by the police so far.
Currently, the accused female driver is under the custody of the Dispur Police.
Furthermore, a video circulating on social media shows the accused female driver warning a person not to make a video recording of her, while she was being taken under custody.
