Guwahati News Desk: Two new Oxygen Plants have been set up at Assam Medical College and Hospital at Dibrugarh with the capacity of production that goes up to 67.8 MT/day.
State Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the MMCH Oxygen plant in Panbazar with 0.7 MT of 100 jumbo cylinder capacity per day, to function from April 29.
The government of Assam has signed three MoU’s with Oxygen manufacturers to ramp up capacity by 10.5 MT.
The MoU’s has been signed with North East Gases of Bongaigaon, Luit Aero Products of Silapathar, and BMA Liquid Air of Dimapur to set up more oxygen plants for the COVID-19 patients.
