Guwahati News Desk: Ayodhya on Wednesday set a new Guinness World Record of lighting around 9 lakh diyas.
The photo of the Guinness World Record certificate was tweeted by IAS officer and Director of Information and Public Relations, Uttar Pradesh, Shishir on Wednesday.
As per the certificate, the largest display of oil lamps had been achieved by the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University.
Moreover, even last year, the state had set a record by lighting 5,84,372 diyas.
Regarding the other events that took place on Wednesday, include of performances by teams from Sri Lanka and Delhi. The event was also attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
In addition, a stunning laser show on Tuesday at the city’s Ram Ki Paidi ghat was also witnessed by hundreds of visitors
