Guwahati News Desk: In the match between Scotland and Papua New Guinea held on Tuesday, team Scotland defeated Papua New Guinea by 17 runs in their Group B Round 1 match at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground.

During Tuesday’s match between Scotland vs Papua New Guinea, it was Richie Berrington who was in his top form for Scotland.

In addition, it was Berrington’s brilliant 70-run knock off 49 balls that helped Scotland post 165 for nine in 20 overs, eventually helping the team in defeating Papua New Guinea in the match.

With this win, Scotland is now second in Group B with four points from two matches. While, Papua New Guinea is still in bottom with zero points from two games.

Regarding the match between Oman and Bangladesh, after a clumsy start in the field, Bangladesh ended up winning Tuesday’s match against Oman, of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021.

Moreover, team Oman did start the game in a very positive pace and were even assisted by a few dropped catches, but eventually they had to surrender to the opponent team, i.e. although, Oman had successfully given a real scare to Bangladesh during the first 10 overs. However, eventually Bangladesh’s experience played a part and brought the team their victory.

Furthermore, Bangladesh now has another game on October 21, that they need to win, in which they want to beat Papua New Guinea and see what happens.
