Guwahati News Desk: Around 300 to 400 BJP workers from West Bengal crossed the State borders and reached the Dhubri district of Assam due to the rising violence by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) goons post-poll results on Sunday.

People were forced to escape their places as TMC goons allegedly attacking BJP workers and their offices at Belaghat, Shivpur, Durgapur, and Uttar Bardhaman.

Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal instructed the Chief Secretary and DGP to provide food and shelter to those people who entered the Assam border.

Earlier, Assam’s Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma slams the Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee for attacking the BJP workers and offices at West Bengal after claiming a humungous victory over BJP in the West Bengal assembly polls on Sunday.

Dr Sarma says, “After receiving a huge victory in Assam not a single Congress workers were taunted in Assam, forget about being attacked. But while in Bengal Didi’s Dadas have unleashed a reign of terror in the State by assaulting and murdering BJP workers.”

Meanwhile, BJP has announced a nationwide dharna today demanding justice for their workers.
