Guwahati News Desk: Trinamool Congress (TMC) Chairperson Mamata Banerjee takes oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the third time after her remarkable victory over Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the West Bengal Assembly Election Polls on Sunday.
On the high voltage elections, Mamata lost the Nandigram constituency to BJP’s Suvendu Adhikary.
Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar administered the oath-taking ceremony in Kolkata and said, “Our priority is that we must bring an end to this senseless violence that has affected society at large. I have every hope that the CM on an urgent basis will take all steps to restore rule of law.”
