Guwahati News Desk: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Ajanta Neog tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chabua on Saturday.
Neog was currently under home isolation. Neog recently joined BJP after quitting the Congress party as she filed her nomination paper from the Golaghat constituency last week.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Topon Kumar Gogoi also tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
