Guwahati News Desk: The body of a 28-year-old Afghan national was found in a street in north Delhi’s Wazirabad area on Monday.
As informed by the police, the incident took place on Sunday night.
The police added that a call was received from a passerby who informed about a man, who appeared to be an Afghan national, was lying unconscious at street number 9.
However, on reaching the spot, the police discovered that the person was already dead.
Meanwhile, the person has been identified to be a man named Shiraj.
According to a senior police officer, the cause behind the man’s death was suspected to be a bullet injury.
In addition, a post-mortem was conducted at Sabzi Mandi mortuary on Monday.
As informed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (north), Sagar Singh Kalsi, a case under relevant sections has been lodged at Wazirabad police station and the crime and forensic teams were called at the spot.
Furthermore, an accused related with the case has been identified and reports have stated that the incident might have occurred due to family issues.
