Guwahati News Desk: Two security personnel were injured in massive violence as bombing and firing took place during the first phase of polling that began in West Bengal Assembly Elections at Purba Medinipur district on Saturday.
Office-in-charge, Deepak Kumar Chakraborty of Patashpur Police Station, and a Central Force soldier were seriously injured in the incident and admitted to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
After the incident, the district president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Anup Chakraborty says that the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) is spreading terror in the state.
