Guwahati News Desk: The All Guwahati Cab Driver’s Union holds a massive protest against giant car rent operator Ola and Uber at Chachal in Guwahati on Sunday.
The protest was staged by the cab drivers against the administration of Ola and Uber for exploiting them over the years.
During the protest, ‘Ola-Uber Go Back’ slogans were raised by the cab unions.
According to the sources, since the last year, the cab drivers have not received needed incentives and the administration of Ola and Uber have not listed and fulfilled their demand.
During the protest, the cab drivers have urged Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to pay heed to the unemployed cab drivers of the Guwahati city.
During the protest, the All Guwahati Cab Driver’s Union announced that the cab drivers will not be working under Ola and Uber from August 1.
