Sangita Dewri, Food Correspondent: Hey everyone, today I will be sharing a very tasty and easy cake recipe. Its an eggless cake, so, to make it soft I will add yogurt to it. You can make it very quickly for those sudden guests. This cake is very soft and melts in the mouth.
INGREDIENTS
- Flour – 2 cups
- Carrot – 4 nos
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda – 2/3 tsp
- Vegetable oil – 1 cup
- Yogurt -1 cup
- Salt – a pinch
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Orange food colour – 1 tsp
PROCESS
Firstly, sift the dry ingredients. Then grate the carrots. Mix the oil, sugar and yogurt together. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture. Then add the vanilla essence. Give it a thorough mix. Spread some salt in the cooker and preheat. Prepare the idli stand and grease it with oil or butter. Pour 2 tsp of the batter into it. Bake it for 20 mins.
Your carrot idli cake is ready. Garnish with cherry and serve. Enjoy !!
