Guwahati News Desk: With the aim of cleaning the holy Yamuna river, the Delhi government plans to form a Yamuna Cleaning Cell (YCC) for the cause.
The announcement was made by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through a Twitter post on Thursday.
According to sources, the YCC will be formed to expedite inter-departmental decision making and execution of projects for cleaning the heavily polluted Yamuna river in the city.
In addition, the cell will be headed by the Chief Executive officer of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) and will have representatives of all the departments concerned.
Moreover, last week itself the Delhi Chief Minister made the announcement of a six-point action plan to clean Yamuna, expecting the work will be completed by February 2025.
