Guwahati News Desk: At least four coaches of the Durg-Udhampur Express caught fire on Friday.
The incident took place around 4 p.m. between Dhaulpur in Rajasthan and Morena in Madhya Pradesh.
According to sources, the three coaches were detached for firefighting operations and medical vans also rushed immediately from Agra and Gwalior.
Regarding the fire tragedy, the 20848 Jammu Tawi Durg Express was moving towards Jhansi and was nearing Hetampur railway station when the fire broke out in two coaches.
In addition, the coaches that caught fire were air-conditioned.
Although the fire spread rapidly, the passengers were successfully deboarded, and no reports of any casualties have been released so far.
Even the tehsildar of Morena, Ajay Sharma, who was present at the spot, confirmed that there were no causalities.
Moreover, efforts are still on to douse flames in the two coaches.
