Guwahati News Desk: A massive bomb blast occured at Gurdwara Road in Kabul’s Kart-e-Parwan on Thursday.
According to sources the blast occurred during the evening time of Thursday and created severe panic among the Sikhs and Hindus sheltering there, who were waiting for visas to leave the country.
As informed by a Sikh resident of the Gurdwara, after the occurrence of the blast the authorities had ordered them to close the gates and no one was allowed to leave the premises.
He said, “There is chaos on the gurdwara Karte-Parwan road as ambulances are rushing to the spot. As many as 70 to 90 Sikhs and Hindus are currently living in the gurdwara while waiting for an electronic Indian visa.”
In addition, there are about 235 Hindus and Sikhs still left in the central Asian country.
Meanwhile, the Akali Dal spokesperson Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared a video on Twitter that showed the ambulances rushing towards the scene.
Sirsa also added in the post, that he has been informed by the Sangat in Kabul that the Sikhs and Hindus present there are safe.
However, the spokesperson emphasized that the situation in Afghanistan was ‘becoming uglier by the day.’
