Guwahati News Desk: The government of India to undertake a new project in the Brahmaputra and Barak in Assam to improve water transportation.
The cost of the project is worth Rs 3,000 crore as the transportation project will boost the trade economy in the entire northeastern region.
The Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Mansukh L Mandaviya holds a meeting with the Chief Minister of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal in virtual mode to improve the waterways and route in the Brahmaputra and Barak rivers.
