Guwahati News Desk: In the latest development of the Uzan Bazaar murder case, a cousin of victim Dimple Kumawat one Ashish Gupta admitted to the brutal killing on Thursday.
According to the sources, victims cousin Ashish Gupta and two friend Karan Das and a tenant of their rented house are currently in custody at Latasil Police Station.
After the murder was reported, victim phone was untraceable but recovered from Ashish by the police officials.
According to the sources, Ashish was seen with blood on his finger by a shopkeeper near Dimple’s house as he came to buy a band-aid as he claimed that he has cut his finger.
The incident took place between 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday as she was hit with a pressure cooker and also kitchen tools suspected to be pestle i.e. used for grinding.
At the time of the incident, her parents went out to for marketing in the morning and Dimple was alone at home.
