Guwahati News Desk: COVID-19 positive cases have been in Tezpur University after more than five students have tested positive in the campus.
The university classes has been resumed after the State government passed a notification to resume physically classes for the under graduate and post graduate students of the university. After the classes had been resumed in Tezpur University the administration had allotted hostels for the final year students.
After the reopening of classes in the university the students were allowed to stay in self quarantine before joining of classes.
The district administration has conducted COVID-19 test at the Tezpur University after more than five students have tested positive of COVID-19.
The infected students had been sent for further treatment. According to the sources, after the reported of the COVID-19 cases in the university campus the administration had decided not to allow any students to visit outside the university campus. The concern department and administration also urges students to take care of themselves to visit hostel immediately after the classes.
According to the sources, the new cases have been reported in Kansanjanga Hostel and Nilachal Hostel.
