Guwahati News Desk: The Health and Family Welfare Minister Keshab Mahanta has issued a new guidelines as the government of Assam has released a new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) on Tuesday which to be come into effect from August 18.

The curfew timing was extended from 6 pm to 7 pm across the State including Guwahati City which to be come into effect from August 18.
All the shops, business establishments, commercial complex, market places etc to remain open till 6 pm in the State.
The restriction in the inter-district travels was lifted by the government of Assam from August 18 as only private vehicles are allowed to travel within the district. Meanwhile inter-district travel with Kamrup Metro is still banned.
All the functions and programmes in the auditorium are allowed with 50 per cent of capacity as only vaccinated persons will be allowed to attend the programmes at auditoriums.
For worship only 20 persons are permitted for one hour at iconic places like Maa Kamakhya Temple, Shiva Doul, Doul Govinda Temple including other places. In Naamghars and temples 50 per cent of devotees were allowed.
All the hotels, restaurants, eateries and resorts to remain open as 50 per cent of customers were allowed at one time.
