Guwahati News Desk: Leading cement brand of India Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited organized a free vaccination camp for all their channel partners and their families, employees in association with National Health Mission Assam at Lakhimpur on Friday.
Giving a brief about this initiative, Executive Director of Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited Indrajit Chatterji said, “Taking into account the seriousness of the current situation particularly in the rural areas of Assam where Covid-19 positivity rate is quite high, we have come up with the initiative of inoculating all our channel partners, their families, employees, etc., located in Lakhimpur to ensure their safety. I would like to thank the National Health Mission Assam, for helping us in organizing this vaccination camp.”
NHM Assam has provided Covishield vaccines for 150 persons for conducting the vaccination camp at Lakhimpur, which is one of the badly affected districts in Assam. All the precautionary measures including social distancing, wearing of masks sanitisation were followed during the entire process. A similar camp will also be organised at Dhemaji by Dalmia Cement later this month.
Emphasising on the importance of safety and precaution against COVID-19, Dalmia Cement also handed over hand sanitizers and masks to NHM Assam for distribution among the general public.
Earlier this year, the company had carried out several initiatives to fight against Covid where they distributed safety kits among their stake holders, provided Counter Protection Shields and Covid Insurance to selected dealers.
