Guwahati News Desk: The Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell arrested DIG Rounak Ali Hazarika on Tuesday.
DIG Rounak Ali Hazarika was arrested from his Hengrabari residence.
Earlier, Hazarika was suspended on July by the government of Assam for his multiple foreign trip since 2011 without prior permission from the government.
The CM’s vigilance cell officials visited the residence of DIG Hazarika at Hengrabari as he was arrested by SP Rosy Kalita and team.
A notification was issued by the Home and Political Affairs Department said that IPS officer Rounak Ali Hazarika had break down the government guidelines on multiple occasions.
