Guwahati News Desk: Diwali glaze seen among the Indians in the Little India market east of Singapore River.
Indian residents in Singapore came out in the market for Diwali shopping but the shopping spree sees decline due to the COVID-19 pandemic globally.
Varieties of diyas, sweets, and lights were seen available in the markets. People were seen maintaining social distance and wore masks too.
Kanika Gupta, one of the residents of Singapore in conversation with Hello Guwahati says, “Good to see Indians coming out for shopping in the markets for Diwali preparations. Varieties of Diwali gifts were available in the shops including sweets. It feels nice that people are seen maintaining social distance and wore masks. After a long period here we Indians get a chance to celebrate our festival once again.”
