Guwahati News Desk: Three drug peddlers were arrested by Paltanbazar Police from South Sarania in Guwahati on Monday by using the name of online food delivery companies of Zomato and Swiggy.
According to the sources, the accused were taking advantages of the relaxations and engaged in delivery activities of drugs across the city.
Using delivery companies uniform they have started home delivery of contrabands as the government of Assam has allowed essentials services during the curfew hours.
The accused were identified as Brojen Das, Gayatri Roy and Shubhankar Sarkar aNd police officials seized 13 containers having 6 grams of brown sugar.
Among these three Brojen Das used to work it online food delivery company Swiggy and they were supplying drugs for a long time.
Police officials seized their vehicles and a case has been registered against them.
Paltanbazar Police was successful after launching the operation against the drugs.
