Guwahati News Desk: In yet another incident, an allegedly drunken lady driver created ruckus in a busy road in Guwahati on Monday night. The incident took place in Hatigaon, where the lady also rebuked the people who gathered at the spot. In a video, that has gone viral on social media, it can be seen that a lady is hurling abuse on the people in a road in incomprehensive language and also arguing with the traffic police and few other people.
Reportedly, some people have also alleged that the lady who was in inebriated state, was driving her car carelessly creating fear among the commuters and passerby, following which, the people demanded strict action against the drunk lady. Notably, earlier in this month, another drunken woman had created ruckus in the Gorchuk police station. The video which had gone viral on social media platforms showed that woman who was detained by the police shouted aloud in the police station premises. A wine bottle was seen on her hands while creating the nuisance.
An Uber driver who took the woman to the police station said that a boy sent her from a restaurant in his car. ”She was in an inebriated state. I did not wish to give a lift to her as our company does not permit this. But the boy who booked my car compelled me to give a lift to her,” the driver added. Notably is such a similar instance, Guwahati Police have filed a charge sheet against Rajkanya Baruah, the model who injured nine PWD labourers after she rammed her car into them on the night of October 1.
