Guwahati News Desk: The Election Commission of India declares the dates for the upcoming by-polls in 3-Parliamentary Constituencies and 30-Assembly Constituencies in 14 States.
The bye-polls in Assam are to be conducted in 5-constituencies as the Majuli LAC is yet to be mentioned.
The bye-polls of Gossaigaon, Bhabanipur, Tamulpur, Mariani, Thowra will take place on October 30. As mentioned by the Election Commission of India, the results of the bye-polls will be declared on November 02.
According to the sources, the Election Commission stated that the Model Code of Conduct (MCI) will come into force with immediate effect in the districts and in which the whole or any part of the assembly constituency going for election is included.
