Guwahati News Desk: While the nation celebrated Republic Day on January 26 and enjoyed the day as a holiday, several architecture students gathered at Azara in Guwahati to protest.
The protest was regarding their future uncertainties in the field of Architecture as their college is about to be closed down. The news of the Guwahati College of Architecture and Planning being closed down has created havoc among the students. Without detailed information from the authorities and insurance of their future, the worried students protested in front of the college.
They were being told that the existing students will be shifted to another college. There is no formal notice and management of their college has abandoned them without proper information or their guardians’ consent.
