Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati City to have a new flyover in coming days as the construction of works are underway at Zoo Road.
The new construction of flyover to start from Usha Court near Nexa showroom and will end up near the ‘Namghar’ beside Uday Path of Zoo Road.
This will be the fourth flyover to be under construction after Bharalu-North Guwahati bridge, Maligaon and Sarabhati bridge in Guwahati.
The flyover will be constructed under the leadership of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The flyover construction was undertaken by a company called AD Construction. According to the sources, the flyover will be completed within 18 months and be opened for public for communication.
The two-lane flyover Zoo Road flyover was proposed to reduce its regular traffic in the junction as one road connects straight to Ganeshguri and another way connects to Narengi while coming from Chandmari side.
