Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) served and penalised notices to 17 business establishments in the Fancy Bazar area of the city on Thursday, January 20.
The Health and Enforcement Departments of the GMC inspected around 70 shops and eateries from 10.30 AM to 4 PM. During the day-long drive in the area a total of 12 trades were found with irregularities. The Corporation also seized items of 10 shops operating on footpaths.
A total of 1,05,000 was imposed as penalty against the violators.
