Guwahati News Desk: A Guwahati-based non-government organization (NGO), Guwahati City Development Association (GCDA) has organized an online art competition on the occasion of World Environment Day on Saturday.
The competition was sponsored by Hello Guwahati, a digital media house and was open to all.
The art competition was organized with the theme âAfforestationâ and divided into two groups where students from class 1 to 5 were included in group A and group B included students from class 6 to 12.
Around 800 students from 40 centres of Child-Friendly Guwahati and 4 Snehalaya Homes-CCIs of Guwahati has participated.
The association has received drawings from Guwahati and other parts too.
The NGO will provide a certificate of participation to all the participants including gifts.
The artworks will be judged by the faculties of the School of Fine Arts of Digboi- Chandan Kumar Nandy, Chiranjit Nandy, Smita Nandy and Nilav Dutta.
