Guwahati News Desk: The Transport Department of Assam has started a drive against overspending cars to reduce road accidents in the State.

The initiative was taken as overspeeding has become a major cause of road accidents both inside the city and at National Highways.

To reduce overspending the traffic interceptor vehicles fitted with sophisticated speed detection cameras deployed.

The initiative will continue to process across the State.
