Guwahati News Desk: At least three people were arrested by Dhubri Police while attempting illegal sale of gecko reptile from Dhubri district on Sunday.
During a search operation, police officials successfully rescued and recovered the gecko reptile and later handed it over to the Forest Department.
The arrested people were identified as Pradip Ray, Sanjay Ray and Niten Marak and a case has been registered against them by the Forest department for further lawful action.
