Guwahati News Desk: The Gauhati High Court and sessions courts in Assam have granted bail to 14 people who were arrested for pro-Taliban posts on social media.
According to the sources, the Assam Police has arrested total 16 people in the month of August for pro-taliban posts on social media.

According to the sources, the people were arrested for allegedly shared posts on social media supporting the Taliban while occupying Afghanistan in August.
The accused were booked under the Unlawful Activitis Prevention Act (UAPA).
According to the sources, Assam Police constable named Saidul Haque was also booked for making statement for Taliban as Haque was the once to have been granted bail by the Gauhati High Court.
Meanwhile, the Dhubri sessions court has rejected the bail applications of two accused Khandakar Nur Alom and Saiyad Ahmed.
