Guwahati News Desk: A girl from Nalbari district of Assam was immediately arrested by Police officials for allegedly uploading a post in the social media against Chief Minister of Assam Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday.
According to the sources, in the post the girl proposes to gift cow meat to the Chief Minister of Assam which leads to a controversy and later the girl was booked by police officials.
The police officials said, “The girl uploaded a dissocial post on her WhatsApp Status where it was mentioned to gift cow meat to CM. As later she was released on bail because it was a bailable offence.”
On Wednesday, the Muslim community has celebrated Eid-Ul-Adha all across the world and such kind of dissocial post can lead disharmony among the two communities, police officials added.
According to the sources, the girl shared a photo of a dead cow on her WhatsApp status and on the second photo she proposed to offer meat to the Chief Minister on Wednesday.
Later, it was known the accused girl is a daughter of a former local Bharatiya Janata Party leader. The Nalbari unit of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has filed an FIR against the girl for creating communal disharmony among the two communities.
A member of Vishva Hindu Parishad said, “Such controversial post in an insult to Hindu culture and community which we can’t tolerate such insults out culture”.
