Guwahati News Desk: An Assistant Engineer of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) was caught red-handed by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption cell at the time of accepting bribe on Friday.
According to the sources, the Assistant Enginee was identified as Dibakar Mali who was caught red-handed while taking bribe of Rs 5,000 for some official work.
The Anti-Corruption cell put a trap against the GMC officials who was not aware of it and later caught trapped and caught at his office in Fancy Bazar.
Special ADGP, GP Singh tweeted, “One Dibakar Mali, Assistant Engineer of @gmc_guwahati caught red handed today while accepting demanded bribe money by @DIR_VAC_ASSAM @assampolice @CMOfficeAssam @mygovassam”.
