Guwahati News Desk: A bizarre incident took place in the Golaghat district of Assam where a woman identified as Babita Devi Choudhury received a vaccination certificate without getting the first dose of the Covidshield.
The incident came to light when her son, Vishal Choudhury tweeted about the incident. According to Vishal, his mother was earlier denied vaccination at the Bokakhat Block PHP, as they were told that they “won’t administer the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to anyone”.
But later, Babita received a certificate of being vaccinated on April 21.
However, a complaint has been raised by Vishal on Twitter mentioning the State Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Vishal wrote, “We went to this centre today, they told us they won’t administer the first dose to anyone at all. But somehow they generated a certificate for my mother without even vaccinating her! Pls help @SetuAarogya @narendramodi @PMOIndia @himantabiswa @MoHFW_INDIA”
Soon after the incident, State Health Minister has instructed the National Health Mission of Golaghat to investigate on the vaccination incident.
