Guwahati News Desk: Guwahati based leading IT company TechVariablein collaboration with NGO called Priyobondhu celebrates World Literacy Day with the underprivileged kids.
The team members of TechVariable visited the NGO located at Narengi in Guwahati and distributed basic stationeries like pencils, notebooks and books among the kids.
The programme included distribution of books, color pencils and other stationeries along with fun activities like dancing and singing was organised where a total of 50 kids participated.
The HR Manager of TechVariable, Antara Saikia Vauquline followed by the founder of the NGO, Archana Borthakur said, “Digital Literacy is very important and apart from the growth metrics of a startup, our team considers this as our responsibility to serve and support the local community”
The organisation talked about the importance of learning, the gains made in that area, and on the significance of literacy as it is observed to reaffirm its national commitment to achieve the goals and objectives of literacy and express support and assurance to eradicate illiteracy.
The event was organised is to ensure a developed culture and environment to partake rational decisions in the near future by these young minds.
