Guwahati News Desk: The Assam Transport Department has cancelled the trade license of India’s largest car manufacturing four-wheeler company Maruti Suzuki India dealer of Khanapara in Guwahati City.
The Poddar Car World of Maruti Suzuki was seized by the transport officials for allegedly selling old vehicles as news. The dealer use to paint old cars and sold as a new car to its customers.
A person has registered a complaint against the dealer for cheating customers, says Gautam Das, District Transport Officer (DTO) of Kamrup Mero.
A special vehicle inspector team of the transport department has reached the dealer to verify repainting cars.
Soon after the incident, the officials of Poddar Car World dealer were questioned regarding the selling of old cars.
According to the sources, the dealer has accepted and said the car was sold mistakenly.
