Guwahati News Desk: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi lights up the ‘Swarnim Vijay Mashaal’ for the 50th celebrations of the 1971 Indo-Pak War as Victory Mashaals (flames) from the eternal flame of the National War Memorial in the national capital on Wednesday.
The Mashaals will be carried out to the various parts of the country including two villages of Param Vir Chakra and Maha Vir Chakra Awardees of the 1971 War.
On this memorial day, the soil of those two villages of these Awardees and from areas where major battles were fought in the year 1971 are being brought to the National War Memorial.
