Guwahati News Desk: National Award winning filmmaker from Assam Jahnu Barua to direct a Hindi movie on Legendary Lachit Borphukan.
The Legendary Ahom General Lachit Borphukan defeated the mighty Mughal Army in 1671 in the Saraighat Battle.
It was announced that the lead role of Lachit Borphukan will be played by a leading actor in India.
According to the sources, the film is expected to hit the theatres by the end of 2022.
