Guwahati News Desk: The historic Cotton University, earlier known as Cotton College has competed 120 years on Thursday.
The Cotton College founded in the year 1901 by Sir Henry Stedman Cotton is the oldest higher education institution in Assam and northeast India.
The college was affiliated under Gauhati University in the year 1948 and later Cotton College State University was established by an Act (Act XIX of 2011) of the Assam Government in 2011.
