Guwahati News Desk: Jorabat Police intercepted a truck and recovered 44,000 bottles of Codeine in the National Highway 37 on Wednesday.
In an operation led by ADCP (East) and ACP & Officer-in-charge of Basistha seized Codeine based cough syrup worth Rs 55 lakh.
The prime accused arrested by police officials was identified as Zakir Hussain on Narengi.
