The eleven players in the Indian team included of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (C), Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakaravarthy.

The eleven players in the team of England included of Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Eoin Morgan (C), Moeen Ali, Chris Woakes, Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid and Mark Wood.

However, Buttler replaced Morgan as England captain for the match.

Eventually, with three runs needed from seven balls, Pant sealed the win for India with a glorious six as Chris Jordan conceded 23 runs off the penultimate over.

Moreover, the Indian openers provided a solid platform with an 82-run stand before KL Rahul perished for a 24-ball 51. Fellow-opener Ishan Kishan then paired with Rishabh Pant to ensure that the tempo never dropped as Kishan brought up his fifty in 36 balls before retiring on 70 off 46. Skipper Virat Kohli (11 off 13) and Suryakumar Yadav (8 off 9) fell in quick succession, but Hardik Pandya’s (16 off 10) handy cameo didn’t let the chase derail.

Furthermore, India shall be taking on Australia in its second Warm-up game, to be held on Wednesday, October 20, in Dubai at 3:30 pm.
