Guwahati News Desk: Various branches of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) have filed a case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Angoorlata Deka for her derogatory remarks against the dental community.
The FIR was lodged against the leader at Patacharkuchi Police Station, Barpeta Road Station, Bongaigaon Police Station, Nalbari Police Station, and Kokrajhar Police Station on September 23 including the Lower Assam Branch of IDA and moreover the Rangia branch also lodged an FIR on September 22. The Dental surgeons in Morigaon also filed an FIR against her derogatory comment.
BJP leader Angoorlata Deka made a comment against the dentists by saying, “It was seen dentist put their elbow on the chest of 12 or 14-year-old young girls while doing their treatment which needs to be stopped to practice.” The insane comment made the dental community angry and for which a time of 48 hours was given to Angoorlata Deka to apologize but she failed miserably.
