Guwahati News Desk: The Indian Army safely evacuated 6 locals struck by lightning in Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang valley.
The six local people were injured in a lightning strike while they were on a hunting trip in the far reaches of Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang valley.
As per the sources, the six of them were struck by the lightning on the night of September 21.
The victims suffered critical burn injuries and shock due to lightning strike. In addition, the hostile terrain did not allow for evacuation by foot.
Following the incident, Dao Division under aegis of Spear Corps promptly provided immediate first aid to the victims and carried them to a safer location.
Regarding the rescue efforts, two army helicopters were mobilised which aerially evacuated the victims to Dinjan, where they were provided critical medical aid at Military Hospital.
Moreover, the locals of Dibang Valley expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for swift and effective intervention.
