Guwahati News Desk: Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri becomes the second-highest goalscorer in the world by overtaking Lionel Messi of Argentina and Ali Mabkhout of UAE.
In a recent qualifier match against Bangladesh, Chhetri scored two goals for his team to bring victory with 2-0 on June 7.
Chhetri scored 74 international goals and now standing behind 29 goals against Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo of Portogal holds the top position by scoring 103 international goals and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri holds the second with 74 goals.
On the other hand, Ali overtakes Messi with 73 goals while Messi is standing behind with 1 goal.
