Guwahati News Desk: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) launched the “Achhi Aadat (Good Habit) Campaign in collaboration with Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) to raise awareness among school students about the importance of good hygiene practices.

The campaign was started from February 21 and will continue till February. The main motive to organise the campaign is to introduce a simple and practical approach to hygiene practices such as wearing mask in a correct way amongst school children.

The campaign Achhi Aadat (Good Habit) is being conducted in 15 Railway Schools in N.F. Railway including 10 Railway schools in Assam.

The campaign actively took place in five schools in Guwahati, one each in Lumding, Badarpur, Mariani, New Tinsukia and Dibrugarh.

In the campaign, mask is being distributed among the school children free of cost as all necessary support are being provided by the railway authorities.

The team JICA explains to it’s participants about the Achhi Aadat (Good Habits). In the 45 to 1-hour awareness session, an animation film on correctly washing hands was displayed for better interaction with the students.

Japan International Cooperation Agency has launched the campaign earlier this year in India which aim to raise awareness among the 10 crore people specially targeting the children across the nation in the importance of hygiene practices for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
